New Disabled South Faith Coalition

Disability Justice is Spiritual!

Join the New Disabled South Faith Coalition and be part of a growing movement of believers fighting for dignity, equity, and liberation for disabled people across the South.

We are building a coalition of faith leaders - clergy and lay.

  • Collaborating with faith communities to organize disability centered events.

  • Partnering with faith leaders interested in serving as champions and spokespeople for disability justice issues.

  • Empowering people and families who attend and lead places of worship to advocate for their access needs.

  • Advocating for critical policy issues that are disability justice-aligned, alongside faith leaders who hold power and influence in their communities.

Mission

A coalition rooted in faith, disability justice and advocacy, affirming that every body is holy and every soul belongs. We will work collectively to create a space of information exchange, advocacy and rapid response.

Goal

The aim of this coalition is to understand:

  • Why disability justice matters,

  • Why disability justice matters for marginalized people- your community,

  • Why disability justice matters for people of faith, and

  • What you can do to get involved!

Put your faith into action.
